Дана радиационно-гигиеническая характеристика территорий, подвергшихся радиоактивному загрязнению в результате аварии, диапазон доз облучения населения, проблемы обеспечения радиационного благополучия населения и пути их решения.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The paper presents data on the role and results of activities of Rospotrebnadzor bodies and institutions in the field of ensuring population radiation protection during various periods since accident at the Chernobyl NPP.
