Abstract

An article presents the results of the substantiation of possibility of the use of age-dependent biokinetic model of 90Sr in a human body for estimation of the average levels of a daily intake with a diet by means of measurements of radionuclide activity in a daily urine sample. It is shown that for persons of different age groups in a case of chronic intake of 90Sr the rate of excretion with urine, basically, reflect by the temporary depots of radionuclide fixation in soft tissues and on a surface of the bone, and depends slightly on accumulation of radionuclide in the whole skeleton. Besides, temporary depots of radionuclide fixation fulfill the function of averaging of radionuclide intake in a case of daily intake levels, randomly timely distributed.

Abstract

An article presents the summarization of results of long time investigations of population informative requirements in the questions of radiation protection. The investigations were carried out in the territories with different radiation-hygienic characteristics. Recommendations are proposed on the content, forms and means of the given of information needed and for enhancing of the efficient of information work with population.

Abstract

The article contains the results of the radiation situation investigation during fulfilling operations of utilization of nuclear objects of marine equipment in the facilities of nuclear shipbuilding and ship repair of Murmansk and Archangelsk regions. The results of research had reviled main radiation indices, which determine the facilities staff working conditions. During the cutting of constructions of nuclear objects of marine equipment the levels of radioactive contamination of the surfaces and aerosols volumetric activity in a whole do not exceed permissible levels set in RSS-99/2009 and depend on the types of operations fulfilling in the utilized object. The determining radiation factor for classifying of working conditions in the facilities is the equivalent dose rate of gamma-exposure the values of which are in the range of 0.5 – 8700.0 μSv/h.

Abstract

Finding of passengers with internal radioactivity due to recently received nuclear medicine examination or treatment became more frequent since customs have got high sensitivity equipment for radiation control. A scheme of such event examination, passenger measurements, a protocol preparation and decisionmaking developed in the Institute of Radiation Hygiene by order of the Federal Service of Rospotrebnadzor is described in the article.
